The day in the life of a one-year-old

Sleep snuggled next to your Mickey...one year olds need lots of snuggles! Wake up at almost exactly the same time that you woke mommy up last year with contractions.

Stand up not holding onto anything and play with your music box. Dancing is so much fun! Now that I'm one I am curious as to how things work.

Eat Breakfast of carrot french toast (mom is mean and hides veggies in my breakfast) and drink my big girl milk, visit my friends at daycare (they all say I look so cute in my birthday shirt), come home and play with daddy...

End the day with a nice relaxing bath in the big girl tub without the insert. Wow, it's really fun to scoot around the bottom of the tub. My froggy towel is my favorite and I look SO adorable!

Birthday Party

Lillian had her birthday party Saturday. She is so blessed to have such a loving family who came to support this milestone! The balloons were one of the biggest hits...for big and little kids:)

Standing By Myself And...

After her birthday party on Saturday (I will post pictures later), Lillian decided that now that she has celebrated her birthday she should show off by standing by herself from sitting on the floor. I got some pictures of her doing it today, and while I was taking one of the pictures in the kitchen she decided to COME SHOW ME HER WASH RAG!! SHE TOOK 5 BABY STEPS TOWARDS ME WITHOUT HOLDING ON TO ANYTHING!! I think that I scared her with how excited I got:) *I will try to post the video later

Getting Ready...

We were attempting to take pictures tonight so that we could have one to put on Lilly's cake this weekend. We did get one toothy grin that will have to do! In the meantime, here are the outtakes

Ok..so here is the winner, it is only a shot of her face in the cake, so it works (sigh). If only they could use those ultra cute photos we had taken of her this weekend..but there's some copyright law against that they told me...(sigh again)

Walking With Help

Lilly started walking with her toys this weekend all over the living room. Of course she is much more motivated when the cat is on the other side of the living room! She has been standing by herself a lot the past few weekends. Daddy says she's going to be a ballerina because when she is standing she likes to raise up on her tippy toes.

Big Girl!

Ok..so Lilly is on her third double ear infection in a little over three months, so I have been behind on the picture taking...She also has gotten her fifth tooth this past week so adding that to an ear infection has been extremely pleasant!

After not eating much in five days, I was desperate. I was eating a banana with lunch and Lilly kept pointing to it. I cut some up on her tray and she looked at it like it was poison and kept pointing to mine. So I let her take bites off of the banana like a big girl and she ate the remaining 3/4 of it! Now that she has both top and both bottom teeth she is in love with biting like a big girl!
