Playing With Dolls

Lilly continues to LOVE singing. She has two favorite songs at the moment. "Jesus Loves Me", and "Slippery Fish". Here she is having Kermit singing "slippery fish". Of course the dolls (and mommy and daddy) HAVE to do the motions.

Lilly has really taken an interest in changing baby's diapers and having them sit on the potty the past few weeks. We're hoping that this interest level will create more interest for her to go on the potty. She did go #2 this morning on the potty, so hopefully we're moving in the right direction!

YEAH CARDINALS!!!

Daddy's favorite football team has ALWAYS been the Arizona Cardinals since he was a little boy. They have NEVER made it to the Super Bowl in their entire franchise history...so we are SO excited!!!! Lilly was giving daddy lots of moral support during the game yesterday. CONGRATS CARDINALS AND GOOD LUCK IN THE SUPER BOWL!!!

Lilly continues to be the singer in the family. One of her favorites right now is the ABC song. Her version is A,B,C,D, F,G, L,M,N,O,Q,R,S,T,W,X,Y,Z. If you sing it any differently you are obviously wrong and she does not hesitate to tell you. As you can tell by the "no mommy", she also does not want any help singing the song. "Iddy do" has been a common phrase around our house.

Sibling Lesson #1

Although we do not "officially" have multiple children yet, I learned sibling lesson #1 this weekend. Old "baby" toys will soon become more interesting because now Lilly can climb in and out of them herself.

She was getting pretty ingenious with this one with a quick spin move before she sat down.

Ok..sometimes it doesn't work out perfect and your legs get stuck. But it's still fun to keep trying!

On a side note, please pray that baby George doesn't come too early! I was having some pains when I was breathing last week so they sent me to the hospital on Friday. After far too many tests, they think that I just pulled one of the muscles around my heart (it is feeling MUCH better today). However, they were a little concerned that I was having slight contractions while we were there. They gave me 2 bags of IV fluids and the contractions seemed to go away, they said that contractions are one of the first signs of dehydration. Since I had gone to the bathroom three times in the two hours there I thought I was fine, but they want me to drink 16 glasses a day!!! We had similar issues with Lilly and she was only 10 days early, however I was on bed rest with her for a few weeks. Since we now have a little one at home, bed rest is not an option.

This little one is already keeping us busy!!!

Two Weeks

This is how we spent our WONDERFUL two weeks together! (sorry the pictures are a bit dark. We were playing in the basement and I'm still playing with camera settings).

And finally cooking in our kitchen. Her favorite thing to cook for some reason is the onion rings. Not quite sure why because she won't touch onions when it comes to eating for real!
