Meijer Gardens laughs

Last weekend we visited the butterflies at Meijer Gardens on Sunday. It was a bit rainy, but we still had a great time! Isn't this thing huge?!?!

Our big girl is on her fourth day with big girl underwear exclusively (except at bedtime), only one accident in four days! At Meijer Gardens I told her that we had to go potty before we left. She then decided to pull her pants and underwear down in the middle of the hallway...strange because she doens't do it at home until she's in the bathroom! Thankfully she didn't go potty until we made it, but we sure got some huge laughs!

Ever since visiting mommy and brother in the hosptial and throwing pennies into that fountain, Lilly is fascinated with throwing pennies into fountains. So she, daddy, and grandpa trudged through the rain to throw some pennies into the fountain. Of course, she woke up with a runny nose this morning (I'm sure she would say that the trip to the fountain was well worth it!)

News

CONGRATULATIONS to daddy on his new position with the government/army. He starts next Monday and will be overseeing all of the armories in Michigan! We are so proud of him and excited that he will get to be a soldier every day now. He will be working in Lansing, so yes we have officially put our house up for sale as of yesterday. It is a very difficult process with the market right now, so please pray that everything goes rather quickly and smooth!

AHHHHHHHH!!

5 weeks old already! What a charmer.

George continues to do well sleeping as you can see here. During nap times his arms almost always fall to the side like this....must be pretty comfy!

Lilly was so excited last friday to pick daddy up from the airport and to ride through the tunnels!

The AHHHH in the title is in frustration with her right now...she is doing SO well with potty training that when she settles down for naps/bed, she gets up about 5 mins after laying down and goes pee in the potty. Since she gets lots of praise then, she continues to get up about ever 2 minutes to go potty again...and again..and again (every once in awhile she's able to go again). I know this is just a stage, and we're so proud of her for coming this far, but AHHHHHH!

April Fun

On Saturday we went to "bunnyville" at the zoo. It was PACKED, but Lilly still enjoyed it. Lilly got her nose painted like a bunny and actually left it on all the way home!

Yesterday I had my first "duh" moment. I had been packing up some boxes and I left the permanent marker on the table. While I was feeding brother Lilly told me she was "coloring the popcorns". I had no idea what she was talking about so I said "OK". When I came out into the kitchen I found this.....THANK GOD this was all she colored, she unbelievably did not color on anything else. I couldn't do anything but laugh as she had told me that is what she was doing and I said ok!!!!!

I can't believe our baby boy is already one month old. He loves to suck on things (as was evident by the sucking blister at birth on his arm), even if it's only his own lip.

Believe it or not this is our first family photo. It only took us a month this time!

Marshmallow Drop

This was Lilly's 2nd annual Marshmallow Drop. Instead of having an easter egg hunt, Belleville does a Marshmallow Drop. The helicopter drops marshmallows on the field and the kids run out to grab them. One marshmallow gets you a prize and there is no prize for any more (all kids get the same prize). This year Lilly picked up 4 marshmallows and didn't try to eat them (last year she took a few bites)! It really is quite a site to see when all the marshmallows fall from the sky!

Baby George is doing great at trying to lift his head. He likes doing it this way much better than tummy time!
