Happy 4th of July

Lillian had a fun packed 4th of July weekend. On Friday we went to the Battle Creek Airshow. Yet again, Lilly slept through the Thunderbirds (the loudest jets that are there). She really enjoyed sharing an elephant ear with grandma. Lilly got to see her first "real" set of fireworks and she LOVED them. She stopped in her tracks when they started and was saying "OOOHHHH". The finale was a bit much for her noise wise, but she did great!

Now that we are home Lilly has ended the weekend with a double eye and double ear infection! After we got groceries she grabbed the cereal boxes off of the table and dumped 1/2 a box of Trix all over the floor. As you can see, stepping on them once the box had spilled was not her favorite thing and made her cry! UGH what a way to end the weekend.

Lilly really enjoyed the band that was playing after the airshow. She is really "into" dancing right now. Sorry, but we can't figure out how to turn the video around so you have to do the roller coaster neck to watch it!

Yeah Sand!!

Lilly got some sand in her sandbox this weekend. She wasn't too sure about it at first, but once she realized that she could dig she was all for it! I think we need to institute a sandbox only on bath night rule though because she had sand EVERYWHERE!


Mommy brought some work home this weekend and Lilly decided that I needed some help. She really enjoys "drawing" and so far has stayed on the paper!

BIG GIRL!!!

Lilly went potty on the big girl potty tonight before she went to bed!!!! For the past few days she has been having completely dry diapers and then just a few minutes later will soak it, so I thought we would try it tonight when she got her pj's on and was dry. SHE DID IT!!!

Lilly's Favorite Places

This is how Lilly sleeps the past few nights. Doesn't that look relaxing? We are SO lucky, because she goes to bed really easily.

Lilly's swingset is all finished except for having sand in the sandbox. Her favorite part is still the swing. She warmed up to the slide today, it was scary at first, but now it is fun. I will post pictures of the whole swingset later this week.

First Concert

Ok, so this picture isn't about the concert but George loves it. Lilly got a new swingset last weekend and it is still in the process of being built. She is politely telling daddy here that she will help him if it will get built faster!

Lilly had her first concert last night. The preschool graduation was at her daycare last night and they had all of the children singing. Her class sang the B-I-B-L-E and the itsy bitsy spider. Lilly just clapped at the end when everyone clapped. Here are some before pictures.

Mommy is getting a little better at the whole "doing" her hair trick, but for those of you who have girls I have a question. How in the world do you get them to keep things in their hair? Within the 3 minute trip to daycare Lilly had her hair completely free of her ponytails. I even tried putting the rubber bands in first and then the barretts over them this time! Ugh

Strawberries!!

Lilly and I went to pick strawberries this morning before it got too hot. At first she wasn't too sure and just looked at them, but once I showed her that she could eat them she was loving it! By the end she was sitting in the row picking anything within her reach (ripe or not) and eating them.

Mommy Tried...

Poor Lilly has been sweating the past few days so much where her hair is on her neck. So I attempted today to put it up off of her neck. Not too bad for a first attempt. I realize that it's not even at all..but it's a first try!

The front isn't long enough yet to stay in the rubber bands, so it has to stay as is for right now
