Busy Bees

We have all been so busy the past few weeks. Now that the weather has warmed up we are working on the outside of the house. The whole back yard needs to be seeded with grass and we are starting our first ever garden this year and got the fence up today. The kids are busy growing and learning. Bubby is learning to use a spoon, has learned to say bye-bye, and is VERY stubborn!!! Lilly is learning her letters and is loving that her brother will rough house with her now.

Bubs also does not stop for anything in his way. Grandma and Grandpa have nicknamed him dozer because he will just plow over/through whatever is there to get to what he wants. He was SUPER determined here to get the spoon out of the dishwasher. Of course mom had to grab the camera and through laughs had to tell him that was naughty...in which case he slapped is own hand (I guess the good thing is he understands the word naughty right!)

He is doing so well with a spoon. He wants to be just like his big sister and gets upset if he can't keep up with her.

Really mom..haven't you taken enough pictures of me eating..oh wait...I EAT ALL THE TIME!

Lilly LOVES to help cook and even made brownies mostly by herself this weekend..which means she got first dibs on the spoon!

Really mom...is the dinner table the only time you remember to get the camera out?~?~?

Motivation!

George has learned that it is REALLY fun to stand on things that he is not supposed to and smile!

Like Lilly's Dora Chair...in order to better reach the toybox of course.

He has also found a new passion...brushing his teeth. Unfortunately for us it has become more of an obsession and he will break into a full out meltdown if you walk by the bathroom without getting his toothbrush. This of course has made bathtime REALLY fun because all he wants to do is get out to brush his teeth. We are trying to limit his toothbrush "use" to only the bathroom so that it doesn't become more of a toy but this is a difficult one!

AS you can see his motivation to reach the toothbrush has reached dangerous heights. He will stand on the stool on his tippy toes to try to reach the cup that his toothbrush is in.

Happy Birthday(s)

Last weekend we got to celebrate a dual Birthday party. Lilly turned 3 on Feb. 27th, and George will be 1 on March 16th.

Although he still wasn't feeling 100% he still showed off his smile and had a conversation with mom.

Are you kidding me I can't have anymore....THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE!

It was really excited to see her succesfully blow out her candle for the first time this year!

What's New?

We've Moved!!!!! We closed on Jan 28th and are now beginning to tackle the boxes!
We LOVE the house and it is more than what we could have ever imagined. Eventually I'll post house photos

Bubby has started speed crawling and has the goofiest looks. He loves to play "tag" with his sister and she chases after him both crawling on the floor.

In the past few weeks he has learned how to stand up and is really enjoying digging into the toy boxes now. He adores every move that his sister makes and unfortunately most of the time wants to be playing with the EXACT same toy she is. We have learned to put out "larger" items that they can share. Tonight Lilly so lovingly asked me to move Bubby because he was getting into her baby dolls. When I asked her to share them she asked me if Daddy could move him! Ugh the joys of multiple children:)

Through the craziness of moving the kids have stayed so happy and it's like Christmas all over again since some of these toys have been packed away since last April.

Bubby's most favorite thing to do now is eat. If someone else is eating he NEEDS to eat exactly what they are..no substitutes. So he usually has oatmeal with Lilly in the morning. I have recently decided to become brave and let him begin to self feed with a spoon...and this is where I got. A spoon on the floor and handfuls of oatmeal mostly in the hair:)

Celebrations!

We had so much to be thankful for this holiday season. Dress up was the best part of all of our family celebrations!

Of course Bubby liked the cards and paper more than anything else!

Bubby now says mama and his own form of dada (ga ga..I think with his 2 recent ear infections that is how he is hearing us say dada)

Our biggest celebration is that we hope to close on the house next Thursday (14th)...the reason that I'm so excited...Beaker found a mouse under our stove last night!

This past Sunday was George's Christmas party for the Army. We decided since the kids were all dressed up to take photos...

Santa stopped by to visit the kids. In line Lilly had rehearsed what she was going to tell him. Once she got to take her turn..this is what happened...I see a Ralphie in her future.

November

Unfortunately I have not been good about taking pictures of the kids so far. Between bulding a house, switching to a different Sylvan (with a promotion to go with it), and trying to stay on top of everything else we have all been very busy!

George is still refusing to crawl as he finds that he can roll and scoot around the room just fine. He is teething like crazy, but still no teeth. He however is really enjoying his new found love...bread.

The house is coming along really well. George works just a few miles away so he has been able to go everyday after work to take pictures. We now have windows, electrical outlets and a roof (they are shingling today and tomorrow). We are so excited to see the progress and Lilly loves to stop by the new house.

She even got to stand in her new room this weekend. Things look so small when they are only framed in, but it is really taking shape!
