Our Nightly Ritual

Lillian has now found out just how fun it is to empty ALL of the toys out of her toy bin. It is exciting to see her making choices now in which ones to play with for a bit and which ones to throw over her shoulder immediately! The best part is that she has figured out that it is easier if she tips the basket over with one hand and grabs toys with the other.

Big Girl!

Now that Lilly has mastered the sitting thing she is into standing up now. It is really fun when you need her to sit down because she locks her legs and won't sit down! As you can see, she is very proud of herself that she can stand now...although not stable AT ALL

Mommy and Daddy went to the Michigan/Penn State game, and Lilly went to play with her friend Eli..but she still had to support the team! Go Blue..great game!

Lilly's Long Trip

This past weekend Lilly had her first LONG car ride as well as her first trip across the Mackinac Bridge. Mom had every intention of taking a picture of her with the bridge in the background but both mommy and Lilly were sleeping on the way across the bridge. When we stopped for a lunch break Lilly thought that she should try her hand at driving. She is learning to wave now which is so cute, except she waves with her hands inward towards herself...I guess here she is telling me that it is time for me to leave and let her and daddy have some alone time!

Weekend Fun

Mommy and daddy thought Lilly was sleeping since she was so quiet....we looked over to see this adorable face peeking out at us..and of course we got a huge grin when she realized we saw her.
Lilly had her first experience with putt-putt golf on Monday. She found it really exciting to put her foot up on the snack tray and make us all kiss them! I guess playing with feet is more fun than the golfing part right now.

Happy Half Year Birthday!

Today Lillian is 6 months old and she is definately becoming miss independent. She sits up all by herself now and is completely stable. Yesterday her food choices broadened to veggies and as always she wasn't impartial either way..didn't love them, but didn't hate them. She is really beginning to show preferences now for specific toys, getting very frustrated if you don't give her the specific one that she wants!

Bananas

Lilly absolutely loves getting frozen bananas to chew on. No tooth yet, but the pain has calmed down the past few days and she is a happy girl again.

Food!!!

Lillian got her first taste of non-cereal "food" this weekend with a Biter Biscuit. She gummed it until it was a runny mess..and loved every second of it! Definately a teething baby's dream come true.

Tonight (monday) was her first taste of fruit. She got bananas and didn't seem to mind much...didn't love them, but definately didn't hate them.

Ok..so we had to post this one too...this is the Lilly that we see ALL the time! She is such a happy girl. Her hair is beginning to have red tints to it and we're thinking her eyes will be brown.
