Classic Lilly

Lilly is growing so quickly! She is so full of smiles the past few weeks and is laughing a lot. She is a VERY social girl and enjoys talking to other tables if we are at a restaurant.

In only 13 months her facial features have grown so much!!

Now that Lilly is mobile, the cat takes refuge wherever she can. Her latest spot is on the stairs since she knows that we do not let Lilly climb them if we are not with her...apparently this is her only safe place now!

Weekend Fun

Saturday Lilly got to celebrate her cousin Abby's birthday. Lilly really enjoyed sitting in Abby's new Papa San chair. However, Abby wasn't so sure that Lilly should be sitting in her chair!


Lillian was probably the only one of us glad to see the snow again. Apparently if you get thirsty while playing in the snow you can just suck all of the water out!!

Easter Eggs

Lilly got to color Easter Eggs for the first time this weekend. She broke a couple of them trying to investigate, but otherwise did very well.

Feeding Myself

Lillian has shown a great interest in learning how to use the spoon to feed herself. We have let her try it out with yogurt. We get a big mess, but lots of laughs! Right now she usually sticks the spoon in her mouth sideways or upside-down and slirps the yogurt off of the spoon.

Lillian loves to give hugs and kisses right now. She really loves to hug you if you are laying on the floor.

Playing 0utside

Lillian got to go on her first sled ride around our backyard yesterday. She was outside for almost an hour and had a blast! Once she came inside she kept going to the slider door and pointing outside..I think we started something! Thanks to Barbara for the ultra cute sled...Lilly really enjoyed it, and it's the perfect size!

Walking

Here are a couple of really short videos of our little budding walker. Lillian is now taking 5-6 steps at a time on her own.

The day in the life of a one-year-old

Sleep snuggled next to your Mickey...one year olds need lots of snuggles! Wake up at almost exactly the same time that you woke mommy up last year with contractions.

Stand up not holding onto anything and play with your music box. Dancing is so much fun! Now that I'm one I am curious as to how things work.

Eat Breakfast of carrot french toast (mom is mean and hides veggies in my breakfast) and drink my big girl milk, visit my friends at daycare (they all say I look so cute in my birthday shirt), come home and play with daddy...

End the day with a nice relaxing bath in the big girl tub without the insert. Wow, it's really fun to scoot around the bottom of the tub. My froggy towel is my favorite and I look SO adorable!

What a day!
