Nap Time

I just went to check on Lilly napping to find this...

Apparently the floor is more comfortable today than her bed (I must say she did a pretty good job of re-tucking herself in). Looks like baby needed to sleep on the floor too!

Firsts...

Lilly and George both had quite a few firsts this Memorial weekend...

George is beginning to get much better at holding things. He is also beginning to give us a small giggle:) We think he may also have a nickname. For awhile now mommy has been calling him bubs when he is upset. Lilly has picked up on it and in the car will say "It's ok bubs, we're almost home". Not sure where it came from but it might stick.

He also slept in his crib last week instead of the bassinet next to mommy and daddy's bed. He slept just as well as he did in the bassinet (from feeding to feeding), but still woke up every 3 hours to eat!

George also had his first Memorial Day. We thank all of our veterans, especially daddy for their service. Thanks to Nanny for the perfect handmade onesie to wear on the occasion (isn't she so talented!)

Lilly got her first ice cream from an ice cream truck. Yes she got a PINK PANTHER! Mom has craved them ever since she was a kid and stopped getting ice cream from the ice cream truck. Lilly was very nice to share with mommy too!

All 4 of us went to the zoo on Saturday to see the dinosaurs. Lilly LOVED them and kept asking to see more. She will tell you her favorite part was that some of the dinosaurs spit (water).

Of course George loved the zoo because he got to be in the snuggli all day!

Happy Boy

George is really beginning to smile in response to our smiles! He is so happy when he is playing now. Happy 2 month birthday little man!

His sister loved these tummy time books too. His favorite is the mirror on the far end.

Here sister is singing to him...she is amazing us at how many songs she can remember and sing independently now!

House Update

We have accepted an offer on our house, and we are now just awaiting bank approval. This process can take up to 60 days, so please pray for a "yes" answer from the bank. After only two weeks we are already growing sick of only seeing daddy for an hour per night.

Zoo Fun!

To celebrate Mothers Day with George's family we went to John Ball Zoo on Saturday. Lilly had a BLAST with her cousins!

Meijer Gardens laughs

Last weekend we visited the butterflies at Meijer Gardens on Sunday. It was a bit rainy, but we still had a great time! Isn't this thing huge?!?!

Our big girl is on her fourth day with big girl underwear exclusively (except at bedtime), only one accident in four days! At Meijer Gardens I told her that we had to go potty before we left. She then decided to pull her pants and underwear down in the middle of the hallway...strange because she doens't do it at home until she's in the bathroom! Thankfully she didn't go potty until we made it, but we sure got some huge laughs!

Ever since visiting mommy and brother in the hosptial and throwing pennies into that fountain, Lilly is fascinated with throwing pennies into fountains. So she, daddy, and grandpa trudged through the rain to throw some pennies into the fountain. Of course, she woke up with a runny nose this morning (I'm sure she would say that the trip to the fountain was well worth it!)

News

CONGRATULATIONS to daddy on his new position with the government/army. He starts next Monday and will be overseeing all of the armories in Michigan! We are so proud of him and excited that he will get to be a soldier every day now. He will be working in Lansing, so yes we have officially put our house up for sale as of yesterday. It is a very difficult process with the market right now, so please pray that everything goes rather quickly and smooth!
